At some point in our lives, we have all struggled with mental health and conflict in some form or another. As men, the challenge of suppressing their emotions directly impacts ones mental health. Not all of us are good at conflict resolution and are fearful of being transparent when it comes to adress our mental, emotional, and social needs due to the stigmas of mental health. To some degree, we all struggle to maintain a healthy life balance between our personal and professional lives. This is why I am here to share my professional and personal experiences to help you put your conflicts in the categories and place they belong. Conflicts procure stress, anxiety, and situations we would rather not deal with. However, the process of conflict resolution is not as difficult as you think when you take a pause to ask yourself these five questions. I call these the 5W’s to all conflicts. 1. What is the conflict? 2. What or who is the source of the conflict? 3. What are your thoughts about the conflict? 4. What are your feelings about the conflict? 5. What are your proposed options or solutions to resolve the conflict. I’d love to share more details with you, but you’ll have to tune in next time. Keep sharing those smiles.
